Hey spambots,

you guys always spam my chatbox right, so often that I actually think that I can consider you guys as friends... ^_^

So tell me, do ads and spamming really pay well?

I've been making it a point to blog every weekday and its starting to feel like a job. So I thought, might as well make some money off it, right?

So yeah, how do you make money out of blogging? @_@ Is it really viable? or are those just scams and hoaxes trying to siphon money off my (non-existent) credit card?

...I bet the spambots won't layan me at all. They seem like the type of friends that are always there when they need you but miraculously go missing whenever you need them :P

Oh yeah, Happy Thaipusam to anyone celebrating it *O* Public holiday~ Whee~~ which means...

On your deathbed

Once upon a time, there was a young man that had only 4 months left to live. Half of his life had been spent combating his illness, and when he found out that he was going to die anyway, he did not despair and wanted to make the best out of the remaining month of his life.

The day after he found out he was about to die, a new nurse was transferred to the hospital he was in. It was as if she was glowing amidst the depressing background of the hospital. She was beautiful with pale skin and a bright smile, plus she was kind to all the patients she served and listened to them empathetically.

That night, he had trouble sleeping. The new nurse realized this and tried to comfort him. He spoke to her about his plans to do things he always wished he had done, at least something meaningful to everyone, maybe leave a mark in the world.. but nothing seemed... satisfying to him. It's hard to be optimistic when you're facing death, and the truth is he can't think of anything else without getting scared. It was then that she told him these words;

* * *

Death.

The most terrifying thing ever to happen to us humans.

Isn't it?

I know a way to make death bearable - good, even.

Its pretty simple, actually.

All you have to do, is fuck up your life. Real bad. Horribly.

Then when you die, you won't gasp for your last breath. Instead, you'll sigh a sigh of relief~

You'll be happy that its all over.

All that shit? All that problems? All that suffering?

Gone.

Phew.

Now, who said doing the wrong thing is bad?

Doing the right thing is bad! Because when the time comes you'll feel sad and it would be hard to part with whatever you've earned and gained in life!

So don't you ever worry about doing the wrong thing anymore, just do whatever you want.

If it turns out to be something right, then you'll be happy now (Heres a tip: Enjoy it! - before its too late).

It it turns out to be something wrong, don't be sad - it'll be something you'll be relieved to leave behind once you're dead!

We're all gonna die someday, so why worry and dread its coming? I say we should invest in this opportunity.

There's really no good or bad in the world, its just whether we'll suffer now and be happy later.. or be happy now and suffer later.

Being able to enjoy life is to be able to happy all the time.

And what better way to do that than to relax and you do whatever you want? Don't worry about the consequences, because you won't need to be around to face them anyway.

How to get free entertainment

I've become really impressed with how the YouTube community works, especially the fact that people can actually make a living off making videos on YouTube *_* awesome. I would love to do that for a living, but I lack the skills nor the looks to be successful there.. but that's another story ^_^ (note to self)

So I've been toying with the idea of making the television industry obsolete by redirecting all entertainment content to the internet! ^o^ after all, with the state of youth nowadays, most of them don't even watch TV anymore. The only monitors watched are computer monitors~ TV is only used for console games and for higher resolution when watching videos from the computer :P

But how do people make money from the internet? Advertisements, that's how. Oh, advertisements are such a taboo word, always the most annoying thing disrupting one's enjoyment and people (celebrities, youtube or otherwise) associated with it are sellouts, money minded, sold their souls to the devil. -_-

I don't know about you, but I actually am one of the minority that enjoys watching advertisements. I've always found the methods of influencing and persuading customers immensely fascinating *_* Not to mention some advertisements are more entertaining than certain shows! (Seriously, go look up Thai ads, they're ridiculously hilarious)

My interests aside, advertisements are also a great source of income for celebrities. Did you know that some commercials pay more than a role in a drama? At lot of celebrities would fight for the opportunity to be in commercials~ and not only for the money, but for the snowballing recognition it provides to both the celebrity and the brand :D

Advertisers are the main source of income for the broadcasting industry (I think), TV, radio, newspapers, magazines, even the internet are mainly sponsored by advertisements. How do these advertisers get so much money, anyway? I don't know, but keeping them in business requires little to no effort on the audience's (our) part.

We don't even need to buy the items advertised (okay, not really true, in a long-term sense, if nobody buys an advertised item the advertising company will go bankrupt and.. yeah. Anyways.) The fact that the audience watches the advertisements already guarantees payment. This can be measured online by the number of hits a page/video gets, which is how the rate of payment is calculated for online advertisements (I think). Hmm, maybe this is the way it's done for television stations too..

So all this talk about advertisements is just to underline the fact that advertisements aren't the bad, brain-washing, money-stealing things that they're made out to be. I'm sure viewers have brains to decide.. :P and more importantly, with the freedom and ease to broadcast via the internet (youtube, blogs, etc), anyone can go into broadcasting/entertainment and can make a living out of it without having to resort to agencies and all sorts of middle people.

I'm always a big fan for fair opportunities and people making full use of their talents. I love the fact that so many talented people get recognized via YouTube. If the internet did not exist, these people would not get their chance if they didn't get stumbled upon by some casting agency. Its also great because now it'll be less of a luck factor and it rewards hard work and perseverance *_*

While getting rid of a middle-man agency or main regulating station might mean absolute chaos and disorganization, I think it's actually way better that way. While everything being chaotic, it makes it so that only the best entertainers will rise to the top, beating all competition due to only merits and not broadcast time, monopolies, or other politics related to being under a regulating body. It also gives the audience the complete freedom of choice~

And the viewer can enjoy all of this for free, on their laptop/PC/mac/etc wherever and whenever...there is an internet connection ^_~ (oh the irony, this being condoned by someone how doesn't even have internet)

Mmmmmmmond-d-d-day~!

(Sung to the tune of mmmmonster kill~!)

Wassup girls. Another week, another monday. Great week ahead :D Unless your week starts on Sunday, then too bad for you!

So I'm a filthy downloader, and I know lots of you are, too. Wanna see something hillarious? XD

sorry to all who don't understand Malay. btw, am I at risk of being caught or fined because of this?

LOL right?

For those too dense or lack the billingual facilities, the joke is in the fact that "file" in Malay is "fail".. and when it says "Muat turun fail sekarang", it reads like "download fail now" (to me). I got shocked at how the download failed before it begun a few times when I first saw this, and laughed like an idiot afterwards XD

The Malay language is so hillarious la, seriously. It never fails to amuse me. For example in the petrol station, I'm always amused by the fact that the pump labeled "Air" can really mean both water and air.. Because it has air for the tires and water to... wash your hands? lol XD talk about multipurpose labeling~

So yeah, don't let your Mondays be mundane. All you need is a little creativity (or some loose screws) and you can see things that'll cheer you up all over the place ^__^ have a nice week~ enjoy working~ XD (says the person that is currently unemployed and enjoying waking up at 4pm everyday <3)

Youtube Tuesday~

Hello ^o^

Today I'm gonna introduce you to youtube personalities the vlogbrothers *o* Which comprise of John and Hank Green, really awesome people :D Both are really funny and interesting personalities that are really really talented and funny T^T I'm so envious of them...

 (click me)

John Green is a really awesome author (among many other things). I know this because I watch his videos and can see his methods of storytelling, heck, even the way he talks can really make people want to listen to him and enjoy whatever he says~ Of course, I haven't read a single book that he has written... :P *note to self - look for this guy's books next time* T_T

Hank Green is a talented songwriter, among many other things. I know this because he can write songs about almost anything and make them entertaining. That and the fact that he knows so much about words that I'm ashamed to be even associated with being a linguist T_T

aaanyways, do check them out, they're really awesome people ^o^ They post new videos every Monday, Wednesday and Friday ^o^ Hope you like them~

Motivational Monday

The general consensus is that people feel unmotivated on Mondays because nobody's gears have really started turning and everyone's really sluggish and all.. so today I'll attempt to write something motivational on Monday~! ...which will end in about an hour or so -_-

* * *

Have you ever made something?

It can be anything, something made out of lego, a drawing of your favourite thing, a love letter, hate mail, homework, instant noodles, bla bla bla...

*half an hour later*

...ahem. Sorry. Yes, everyone has made something. Even if the only thing you've made in your life is poop, you've made something!

Do you ever think to yourself, "is this good enough?"

"Did I do a good enough job?"

"Will this be accepted?"

If you've thought of any or all of such questions     regarding your poop, that would be really... funny ^o^; haha ha ha..

..often times, after I've made something, I wonder if it was good enough and worry if it is up to standards. In fact, I've wondered about this so much (as I've made a lot of things *cough* every morning in fact.. eee) that I've eventually solved the question!

To everyone that wants to do their best at something, the best way to do so is to judge it according to your own standards. If you think it's good, it'll be good. If you think it's bad, no matter how good people say it is, it's bad.

Now I'd like to give a word of caution, if you're a person that easily settles for mediocrity, this might not work for you. Take note that this is based on my own line of thinking where I am constantly my harshest critic and I set an impossibly high standard for everything I do... not that I live up to it XP; long story short, I'm the type of guy who says he's bad at everything and everything he does sucks.

You might already know about this and are going 'che -o-', but if you don't, this is the kind of thing that seems obvious but really isn't and when it is pointed out, it clicks and you go ":O! why didn't I think of that~". I've yet to come up with a proper term to describe this phenomenon... but aaanyways

When I post stuff on my blog, unless I'm rushing off, I often re-read the contents that blogpost. On one hand, it's just good proofreading, but on the other hand, I'm also seeing if it's up to standard. There are a few blogposts that got terminated immediately or didn't even get posted because of this.. Even now, the existance of this very blogpost is balancing on a tip of a knife (or as we say in Malaysia, like an egg balancing on a tip of the bull's horn.. wah that's a roundabout way to say it) because I'm not really sure how to relay what little motivational information I have for you.

So the next time you make something, take a look at it yourself. Re-read that essay that you're about to submit. Taste that dish that you're about to feed to someone else. Think about how .. ok I have no idea what demographic reads my blog so I'll stop with the examples here -_-
You really don't have to worry about what other people will think of it, because according to my experience, oftentimes their opinions will be consistent with your own opinion!

There are days that I wake up and look at myself in the mirror while brushing my teeth and I narcissistically think to myself "Hey, I look good today!" (experts have now determined this to be due to the phenomena that is the Good Hair Day) and during that day, I have a lot more confidence in everything I do~ whilst if I look bad that day (a.k.a Bad Hair Day + didn't shave) I'm a lot more reserved and the day often ends pretty gloomily for me...

The same can be said for my blogposts. Some of them I reread and go "..what the heck is this" but just let it slide because I spent like two years writing it. Those posts get no love.. whilst there are a few posts that I reread and actually laugh to myself (I really love my own brand of humor.. XP) and more often than not, those posts generate a really good response ^o^

So basically I'm saying that you don't really have to worry about what other people think when you make something. The only person's opinion you have to worry about is your own! Everyone else will just magically follow suit~!

...or will they? Of course, nothing is certain in life, and there are always those annoying corner cases that always rise to prove any sort of attempt at generalisation wrong. Sometimes you're infinitely proud of that masterpiece that you've created but it gets shot down by some pompous asshole that thinks it 'sucks'. :(

What do we do about that? We should obviously not give a shit damn shit damn (I can't decide which is better, sorry) about what they think! If you think you did a good job, it means you tried your best! And nobody can say otherwise ^__^b Good job! *gives you a pat on the back*

Of course, you'll have to be brutally honest with yourself about this. Don't ever lie to yourself, that's just setting yourself up for disaster. If you know what you made wasn't up to your own standards, then you won't get cocky if it somehow meets other people's (lower) standards, and will try to do better in the future~ and if that pompous asshole tries to look down on you for your half-assed work, you won't feel as offended because its just facts, man. No worries, you'll show them next time, when you do a full-assed job! ...wait.

* * *

..*rereads*.....wait a minute, how is this even motivational?! ARGH *flips table* (/-O-)/~~~ ||___||

Hey guys

Happy new year *O*

k bye
